Self-portrait with Oil paints and Acrylic Background . 30x22

I was listening to Barney Stinson's (Neil Patrick Harris) "Nothing Suits me like a Suit" song for days. So when this project was assigned, what other pose do you do except suit up and make for Barney's "Perfect Picture."

If you've seen the show, you know that every time (well..nearly every time...) Barney's picture ends up with his hand at his tie.

For this project we created an Acrylic ground, then worked with oil for the figure. This was for a Traditional Painting class. weeeee~

Oh wait lol I got so amused I forgot I was gonna critique. Your coloring is exceptional, and I love the style like it's vectorized. I can't say anything about the texture, picture's too hazy, but the hand looks a bit out of place, a bit too light-colored.

Also, your hair, the area around it makes it obvious you were kind of afraid to paint close to the hair. I bet if the picture quality were better, I'd see a few un-painted spots around the hair.

Lolz, I didn't? unless.... our teachers are one and the same.... O_o but since there's a time difference...it explains why you're just starting it? (lolz that was the best I could come up with >< creativity is on the DL today....BUT ANYWAYZ)
